Exciting new position available working for a high-end restaurant near Newquay!
What you would be doing on a weekly basis
Deputising in the absence of the manager, to ensure the continued smooth running of the restaurant
To exceed guest expectations at all times, by managing watchful in a relaxed, but professional way
To manage events in a professional manner, ensuring the highest level of customer service
Working with manager/ F&B manager / Executive chef to improve all aspects of the drink and food services
To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all items listed on the menus.
To work with the manager to ensure that sales budgets are achieved
Assist with all beverage ordering and deliveries to ensure good stock control, minimal wastage and that all budgeted GP"S are met
Ensure that all team are punctual and come to work wearing the correct uniform
To support the on-going training & development of all the team, both on the job and planned.
To handle guest complaints, requests and enquires in a professional manner.
Maintain a safe working environment at all times and record any accidents or near misses in the accident book.
Take responsibility for all Health and safety risk assessments (COSHH)
Comply with and enforce all food hygiene and health & safety regulations, attending any training as required and adhering to all company policy and legislative requirements.
Understand the fire evacuation procedure for your area, and ensure all team are fully trained and aware of what to do in the event of a fire.
What you offer
Supervisory experience in a similar setting
Previous experience of managing a team
A good knowledge of customer care and complaint handling
Experience in cash handling
Wine and drinks knowledge
