***Executive Assistant - Newquay***

Our client is a luxury hotel near Newquay. Open all year round, the hotel boats 71 bedrooms, 3 restaurants, surf club, children's club and a swimming club.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Executive Assistant is an exciting new role for an efficient, personable and ambitious individual who is keen to gain broad experience of sales and marketing and a sound understanding of the hotel and tourism industry. As the Executive Assistant you will be the "right hand man" of the Ops Director, supporting them in their varied day-to-day duties.

To coordinate projects, including tracking progress, ensuring the completion of tasks and reviewing technical documents
To manage work flow for the Ops Director, including email and correspondence prioritisation, and to keep them well informed of commitments

To provide administrative support to the Operations Director, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars and files, composing and disseminating correspondence and booking travel
To help develop meeting agendas, presentation materials, deliverables, and follow-up items. To take minutes at executive management meetings, distributing them accurately and quickly
To create, edit and proofread business communications and documents using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other technical software
To balance priorities for the efficient flow of your own work, and to meet deadlines in a high-paced, busy office
To build relationships and work professionally with the executive team, company employees, partners, and customers
To think and work independently and effectively, with a positive attitude
To be pro active and to handle confidential information professionally
To regularly maintain and update key contact information, and to have it available for easy reference

Required skills/qualifications:
Given the variety of the role, confidence, pro activity and a desire to learn are far more important than previous experience
Desire to take on any job as required
Highly organised with a strong sense of urgency and efficiency in completing work
High level of confidentiality and ability to recognise and appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential material and information
Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills
Computer literate to a high standard, with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good A-levels and, preferably, a degree or professional qualification

Preferred experience:
A previous role in project management and/or as administrative or junior project management support to a senior team
